INTERNATIONAL CHARITY ROWATHON "ROW FOR AN EDUCATION" 2025

To celebrate International Education Day on January 24, Row for an Education organizes every year an International Charity Rowathon to raise funds to provide academic and sports training to children at risk of exclusion. It is a virtual event in which participants from all over the world can register, regardless of their rowing experience.

From February 8 to 14, 2025, participants will row at their convenience in their club or sports facilities, or on their own ergometers, and will submit their results online through the rowing marathon website. They will be able to row as many times as they want throughout the week, on the water and on the ergometer, to add meters and row the longest distance possible.

The results will be accumulated throughout the week and the winners will be those who have rowed the most meters.

Categories, dates and registration

You can sign up HERE to the rowing marathon for all rowers of any age, gender and condition.

Categories: individual and club.

Registration deadline: January 24 through February 8, 2025.

Registration fees: individual: €5; club: €25.

All proceeds will be used to finance academic and sports scholarships for children from underprivileged families.

Rules of participation

Register HERE, row, and upload the results to your user account on the Charity Rowathon website. Enter the meters rowed and attach the photo of the ergometer screen or the speed coach. You can row as many times as you wish from February 8 to February 14. Each time you row, repeat the process.

Proof of the result should be a photograph of the ergometer, speed coach or heart rate monitor display in rowing mode, with the date.

Our team will review all results received. We will not accept results without a photograph or where the data do not match the image. Play fair.

Each day the consolidated results of the previous day will be published so that participants can see the updated ranking throughout the week.

Winners in each category will receive the Row for an Education trophy, which will be mailed. There will also be an Honorary Best Country Diploma.

Participants in the individual category who row on water may row both in single and crew boats. Their results will also count towards their clubs' classification.

Thank you very much for rowing with us for a good cause!
