One and a half million meters rowed for an education

To celebrate International Day of Education on January 24, last week we held the I Row for an Education Charity Rowathon.

This first edition has had a mixed virtual format, with participants rowing on their ergometers and on the water. In total, 60 athletes participated, rowing more than one and a half million meters from Monday, January 22nd to Sunday, January 28th.

The winner of the individual category is José Ángel Alejandre Minguela, with a total of 90,621 meters rowed and the winner of the club category is Clube de Remo Muros, with a total of 501,589 meters rowed. Check out the detailed results here.

We'd like to highlight the participation of Gustavo Portals Mayo who rowed a full marathon of 42,195 meters.

We are hoping to build on the participation in the next edition, which will have a physical presence in Madrid and in other cities of the collaborating entities.

See you next year!
