ROWE is a non-profit association whose mission is to alleviate the inequality suffered by children in vulnerable situations. In particular, we offer them academic support to avoid school failure and also the opportunity to practice a sport, specifically rowing. In order to do so, our activity is based on the work of volunteers who participate in our Volunteer Program that incorporates the values and objectives of the organization, among which are:
- To promote social volunteering and disseminate in society the awareness of solidarity, equality and social justice, fostering an active citizenship committed to social transformation and the fight against social exclusion of any person.
- To promote respect for human rights and the dignity of people, regardless of their sex, race, social status or religion, as well as equal opportunities for men and women.
- Develop programs that respond to social problems or needs and create social value, in line with the European guidelines for social innovation.
Our volunteer program has two distinct lines:
- Volunteering for the "Child to Child" project, for volunteers between 12 and 17 years of age.
- General volunteering, for volunteers 18 years of age and older.
